There's no doubt about it; our Smith Mountain Lake community is growing fast ! We enjoy a growing number of dining options: breakfast from a gas & go or favorite diner, lunch from a fast food or deli place, and then dinner [with perhaps a perfectly crafted Virginia wine] from widening circle of premium fine dining establishments. There are plenty of tried and true local favorites, and there are maybe some new places that you've not yet had the chance to dine at yet.

According to a study released in December 2006 by the National Restaurant Association, Americans now spend roughly 47.9% of their food budget in restaurants. Restaurants expect to take in revenues of more than $537 BILLION in 2007, a 5% increase over 2006, and a whopping 67% increase since 1997. 

Our SMLdining.com goal is simple: to be the one stop information guide to all things food around the Smith Mountain Lake area.  Restaurant names, addresses, & phone numbers are listed, and the restaurants are cross referenced by cuisine. In the near future we will be adding links to selected restaurants, menus, maps, and some unbiased reviews.
